Fox Electronics provides the service of CRT and monitor destruction on a charge-
only basis. This service is billed by the pound. Although we offer the destruction
and recycling service for monitors and CRT's, a majority of the computer monitors
received into our facility are repairable and re-marketable. In such cases they are
transferred to our repair partner for service and re-marketing. Our customers
receive a return on the re-marketable monitors and CRT’s, based on the current
market value for this type of product.

Many high-tech companies generate CRT’s and
computer monitors as scrap. These are
considered hazardous waste due to the phosphors
and lead contained in the glass and need to be
treated as such. Although there are no revenue
generating materials that can be obtained through
the destruction and recycling process associated
with CRT’s and computer monitors, the material
still has to be handled in an environmentally sound
way, as required by EPA guidelines.
