Testing Equipment

We can test all memory module configurations with our state-of-the-art equipment.

In Q1 of 1999, Fox Electronics launched a Memory Module Testing Division. This new division was just another integral part of our ongoing commitment toward the expanding of services offered to the high-tech manufacturing industry.

With a substantial investment in state-of-the-art (Tanisys / Dark Horse Systems) testing equipment, (Nortek Automation) high speed handlers, (TestMetrix PC/PCMCIA) testing equipment and ESD Certified Facilities, Fox Electronics became the only end-of-life management company in the world to enter the arena of Memory Module testing. Our capital equipment investment gave us the capability to test virtually any type of Memory Module configuration, thus giving memory module manufacturers an outsource alternative for the bottlenecking that occurs in the testing phase of their operations.

Fox Electronics is committed to the upgrade of their capital equipment and facilities as future technologies are introduced. 

Since the launch of this new division, Fox Electronics has achieved a throughput of over 25,000 memory modules per week for several customers.  In Q1 of 2000 we moved this division to it's current location in our 40,000 square foot expansion, which was performed in December of 1999.

In conjunction with our memory testing capabilities, Fox Electronics can provide kiting, finished goods warehousing and shipping services, all via e-commerce.

We also have the capability and desire to procure all failed product from testing, for the purpose of integrated circuit recycling in our IC Recycling Division. All failed modules will be de-chipped, with the IC's being removed, refurbished, repackaged and remarketed.

Tanisys/Dark Horse Systems, Model SIGMA 3 Memory Testers

• High volume production testing for all 100 MHz Buss and slower SDRAM Modules at full operating speed
• 100% error detection of all defects in DRAM, FLASH, SGRAM and SDRAM modules at full operating speed
• Fully upgradeable to handle future architectures such as Direct Rambus, DDR and SyncLink (SLDRAM) and new functions
• Fully supportive of up to 160 data bit modules
• Storage of all test data in SQL format database
• Customized reporting available for failure analysis

TestMetrix PC/PCMCIA Tester / Programmer

• Tests virtually all memory types such as DRAM, SRAM, EPROM, FLASH, SDRAM, CACHE, VRAM and PCMCIA in industry standard packaging
• Turnkey production tester/programmer for volume production testing of PC/PCMCIA cards
• High performance functional testing (up to 50 MHz test cycle) and parametric testing, including Leakage and Opens / Shorts testing
• Voltage measurement accuracy is ± 25mV, current measurement accuracy is ± 1µA, and timing measurement accuracy is ± 1nS
• Supports Compact Flash™, Mini™, Multimedia Cards™,Solid State Floppy™ , Small™, Wireless Network and Fax/Modem
• Fully capable of complete product testing
• Test libraries covering virtually all card technologies available for today's market. Testing Libraries Include:
