Many high-tech products are manufactured with precious metals included in the base materials for the purpose of ensuring connectivity. Printed circuit boards tend to have substantial amounts of gold, silver, platinum, palladium, nickel and copper within their contents. Fox Electronics provides the service of refining this material for the extraction of these and other metals. Many companies that ship high-tech electronic scrap into our facilities aren’t able to meet the minimum weight requirements for direct shipping imposed by precious metal refineries. Fox Electronics provides the service of purchasing a company’s precious metal-bearing scrap, then consolidates the combined scrap of several companies in order to meet such minimum shipping requirements. Fox establishes the scrap value of the precious metal-bearing printed circuit boards once the boards have been processed through our Integrated Circuit Recycling Department.
