Quantum Case Example

"Fox Electronics has proven to be a very reliable salvage vendor to Logitech. Both their security measures and destruction processes have provided a comfortable level of confidence that no product once dispositioned as scrap will resurface on the open market."

-- Patricia VanBuren, Supply Chain Control Analyst, Logitech

Protection of our customer’s brand name is paramount, not only to our customer, but to Fox Electronics. All companies who manufacture and sell products into the consumer channel are going to receive a certain percentage of products back as returned goods and/or experience manufacturing rejects. Our priority at Fox Electronics is to ensure that the proprietary information and designs contained within these products are destroyed and recycled in the most effective way possible. Without compromising your security or environmental interests! We accomplish this through an aggressive protection plan that ensures the security of your material from the moment it arrives in our facility.

Upon receipt of material into our facility, a lot number/reference number is issued for this particular lot of material. This number is used for tracking purposes while the material is in our facility, and the material will move through our process as a lot, without separation.

If anything out of the ordinary is noted in regards to this lot, the customer is contacted immediately and the process of destruction or recycling will be put on hold until final resolution of the problem is reached.

All information regarding this lot is input into our information system and the tracking process begins. Fox Electronics has developed its own proprietary customized software with regards to the tracking process used in our recycling and destruction operations. We provide accurate, real time tracking of your material the entire time it is in our facility. If you have any questions at all as to what stage of the process your material is in, all you need to do is call your Fox Electronics representative and an answer will be provided within minutes.

Each procedure performed in our facilities, with regards to the processing of a shipment of electronic scrap for destruction or recycling, is audited in full detail. Our customers are invited to witness any aspect of the processing of their material while it is in our facilities.

A state-of-the-art closed-circuit television system surveys and records all aspects of our production facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This system consists of the latest technology available, including Burle TC352 A, high resolution, zoom capable, color cameras with verifocal lenses located throughout the entire interior and exterior of our facilities. A total of 18 cameras monitor our facilities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All cameras located on the exterior of our building are positioned for optimal night time viewing of the entire 5 acres of ground utilized by Fox Electronics. The strategic positioning of these cameras throughout the entire interior and exterior of our 65,000 square foot facility allows us maximum surveillance of all product handling areas. All activities monitored by our CCTV system are digitally recorded on state-of-the-art KALATEL Color Digital Video Recorders and maintained on hard drives for a period of 30 days, with the capability of being archived on CDR for the customer.

A state-of-the-art, Radionics Readykey zone tracking and electronic pass key system is in place to monitor all movement of personnel working within the confines of our facility. Our entire facility is in secure mode 24 hours a day, with accessibility gained only through an electronic passkey which is recorded and relayed to our information systems.

Acoustic glass break detectors are installed throughout the facility where necessary for the detection of unauthorized entry through a window break.

Walk-through and hand-held metal detectors are in place at all critical entry and exit points of our facility, ensuring that no unauthorized removal of material is possible.

An infra-red motion sensor system is in place throughout the entire facility for detection of motion during hours of non operation.

There are no phone lines involved that could be severed in a potential theft situation. Any intrusion alarms that might be triggered are transmitted via high frequency radio transmitters.

Every aspect of our comprehensive security system is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, by a contracted security provider, and is supported by almost instantaneous law enforcement dispatching for any perimeter intrusion.

The entire process of dismantling and tear-down is performed within the inside confines of our facility. This allows us to maintain full confidentiality and security of our clients’ products.

"Peace of mind" is a consideration we take seriously at Fox Electronics. To meet the most sensitive and rigid requirements of our Fortune 100 clientele, Fox Electronics has implemented the most vigilant security measures available in the industry.

Quantum Corporation Case Example

This excerpt of a letter from one of our clients demonstrates the level of commitment that Fox Electronics has to ensuring maximum security.

"I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all your assistance and time you provided in the collection of receipts needed for [our] criminal prosecution [case]. Please accept my compliments for the supportive role you played in the criminal [prosecution] portion of this case.

I firmly believe if it wasn't for Fox's detailed record keeping of all your accounts, and your willingness to open your books, we never would of discovered the complete magnitude of our loss. The information you provided us has been invaluable.

It is a pleasure doing business with an upstanding and open company such as Fox Electronics.

Sincerely,
Jonathan Amsbaugh
